What do we want and need from our colleges from 2030 onwards, and how do we get there? These were the simple yet important questions the Independent Commission on the College of the Future sought to answer when it began work last spring.

Join the Independent Commission on the College of the Future on Wednesday 28 October, 3pm-4pm, to discuss its UK-wide final report, setting out recommendations for across the four nations.

Hosted by Commission Chair, Sir Ian Diamond, the UK’s national statistician, this online panel event will see commissioners set out a vision for the future of colleges and call for the changes that are needed to realise it by 2030.

We are delighted to be joined by the following speakers:

Keynote speaker:

Sonia Sodha (chief leader writer, Observer, and a Guardian/Observer columnist)

Commissioners and expert panel members:

Paul Nowak (Deputy General Secretary, TUC)

Marie-Thérèse McGivern (Former Principal and Chief Executive of Belfast Metropolitan College)

Peter Cheese (Chief Executive, CIPD)

Smita Jamdar (Head of Education, Shakespeare Martineau)
