Key reasons to attend AoC Sport Curriculum Conference 2025
There are just two months to go until the AoC Sport Curriculum Conference returns to Holywell Park, Loughborough. Bringing together educators, industry leaders, and sports professionals, this year’s theme, “Navigating the future of sports education” aims to inspire and equip colleges with the tools and knowledge to foster a dynamic and inclusive sports curriculum for 2025/26 and beyond.
As part of the first look at the programme for the event, here are five key reasons to book your place:
- We are delighted to announce the Edufuturists as headline speakers. Known for their forward-thinking approach and expertise in educational technology, the Edufuturists will provide invaluable insights into the evolving landscape of sport education.
- Our newly launched partners, the British Association for Sport and Exercise Sciences (BASES), will support two sessions, focussing on teaching and learning support for the sector, as well as the benefits of BASES membership for colleges, staff and students.
- Active IQ are teaming up with FutureFit to discuss the latest qualifications reforms in the fitness industry and to emphasize the importance of mental health awareness in education, equipping educators and students with the tools to address mental health challenges.
- Derby College Group and NSCG, will share insights from their recent collaboration, focusing on peer review as a tool for curriculum analysis and improvement. They will discuss the benefits of feedback from peers and the impact of reflective practice on curriculum design, teaching, learning, and assessment.
- Delegates will have the opportunity to network with a host of organisations as part of the conference exhibition, including Veo, StreetGames, 1st4Sport, OCR, Kitlocker, Perform Better and GymGear.
Our headline sponsors, Pearson, expressed their excitement about the conference:
"We are proud to return as the headline sponsor at the AoC Sport Curriculum Conference 2025! In partnership with the AoC, we are looking forward to working together to drive excellence in curriculum design and policy development. During the Conference, Pearson will be exploring how we can be more ambitious in our curriculum design, the power of partnerships, and support for the Sport sector.
