AoC Sport National Netball Squad - Match Report 11/12/22

On the 11^th December 22, the AoC Sport National Netball Squad travelled to Sunderland, where the newly selected squad met and worked at the Beacon of Light in Sunderland. The Saturday session consisted of team building with a Christmas twist, netball drills/skills, unit work, match play and team selections. Then it was back to the hotel and then out for dinner as a squad and return to watch England in the World Cup.

The Sunday was match play and we played against the Regional U17 squads. The A team took to the court and played 7x10 minutes with all players taking to the court. After an excellent performance, the squad won 72-54

The B team then took to the court against another strong Regional squad. Again, we played 7x10minutes. The game was very close throughout and end up a draw at 62-62. Again, all players took to the court.

Within both games all players stepped up and certainly bonded and worked well not only as a squad but within their units. There was a huge number of turnovers that we converted and the shooting stats were very high. A fantastic start to the programme.
