Planet Earth Games - Colleges

Planet Earth Games - Colleges is a competition for colleges to set up climate action challenges and compete against other colleges to ensure the most student and staff engagement throughout the challenge period.

The competition is unique in its gamification of environmental sustainability challenges for colleges utilising Planet Earth Games new online platform to set up and record the colleges challenges.

The Planet Earth Games - Colleges window runs from January 1st 2025 - April 22nd 2025 (Earth day)

Organising committee

Planet Earth Games is seeking to create an organising committee to develop, plan and help deliver the programme to the AoC member network for the 2024/25 academic year.

Planet Earth Games is seeking staff and students to join a group of sustainability professionals to oversee:

  • Marketing and sales
  • Rules and adjudication
  • Competition administration
  • Event co-ordination
  • Volunteer co-ordination

The commitment will be approximately one hour online meeting per month and ad-hoc tasks.

We are offering a 50% discount, for colleges that have signed the Sustainability Pledge and the Student Leadership Programme and are looking to recruit Green Ambassadors.

AoC Sport is committed to providing safe and high quality activities for all college students and we work in partnership with colleges to ensure robust safeguarding procedures are always put in place and implemented.

Reporting

In a medical emergency or if you believe a young person or adult has been harmed or is at risk of harm you should contact the emergency services immediately on 999.

If it is not an emergency, please report your concerns to AoC Sport by either downloading and completing the form below or by completing this online form.

Safeguarding Complaints

Complaints about the way in which a safeguarding concern has been managed, must in the first instance be directed to the AoC Sport’s Lead Safeguarding Officer. Safeguarding concerns and complaints reported to us will be taken seriously and responded to promptly and appropriately.
