Research Bio

Rach is currently studying towards a Doctorate in Education, and is writing her thesis focusing on exploring the strengths and limitations of hybrid delivery within adult education to identify recommendations for future practice, and to further enhance learner experiences in the FE sector.

FE Institutions switched to online delivery as part of the global crisis emergency teaching response during lockdown in 2020. In the post Covid era, this research sets out to explore what is actually happening with hybrid learning experiences within a FE institution. Lessons learned from these significant pedagogical changes demonstrate opportunities to retain some of the good practice experienced during the crisis. Her research aims to understand the lived experience of staff and learners to explore further development opportunities to support learner inclusion.
