Deputy Principal
Salary: £90,000 - £95,000
Organisation: Monoux Sixth Form College
Location: Walthamstow, London
Closing Date: 24 Nov 2024
Monoux Sixth Form College is an impactful education provider in North East London, with around 1,900 students and an impressive range of academic and vocational programmes. We have developed a Skills Strategy that encompasses innovation and optimises students' ability to make a strong contribution to the regional and national economy in their future career. Alongside our excellent outcomes, with around 90% of our students progressing to university, we deliver a high level of value added for students, ensuring holistic development within an inclusive, supportive environment.
Currently graded as Good by Ofsted, we enjoy a strong financial position and we have successfully grown and diversified our offer and student cohort in recent years. We are making considerable investments in our estate and facilities, with further exciting capital projects in the pipeline. Culture is of paramount importance to us and we have worked hard to develop an environment of trust, empowerment and aspiration.
We are currently seeking a new Deputy Principal to take the college even further forwards and this is a completely unique opportunity as we are very flexible about the remit, scope and focus of this role. Overall, the post holder will support the Principal in providing high level strategic direction and in ensuring that the college delivers services to an exceptionally high standard. The Deputy Principal will have senior leadership of a number of college functions, providing effective motivation, support and development for staff, while inspiring students to excel.
Specific areas under this role are open and can be shaped around the skills and talents of the incoming post holder. They may include a range of college functions, such as curriculum, marketing, skills/employability, property, MIS, student services, safeguarding and / or welfare; all are areas where we have an exciting journey ahead and where an individual can add value. This is an excellent opportunity for a post holder to play to their own strengths and there is flexibility for the structure to adapt and / or for the role to evolve in the future.
We are looking for a strong, impactful leader with a successful track record of leadership and management in an education provider. We can be flexible about the specific areas that you have led and your areas of specialism, and we are also happy to consider individuals from sixth form and GFE colleges, schools and academies. Key to success will be a background in delivering continuous improvement and a student-centred approach, with a commitment to excellence and prioritising the needs of learners.
Key Dates to Note:
Closing date for applications is: Sunday 24 November 2024
First Round Interviews (to take place via Teams or similar): between Thursday 28 November and Tuesday 3 December 2024
Final selection date (to take place at the college): Tuesday 17 December 2024
