Associate Director (Finance)
Salary: £69,522
Organisation: Coleg Gwent
Location: Usk (Newport area), Wales
Closing Date: 14 Aug 2024
At Coleg Gwent, our mission is simple: to CHANGE LIVES THROUGH LEARNING. We are one of the top performing colleges in Wales and we have high aspirations for our students, for our staff and for the communities we serve.
Our education and training offer is broad and diverse, covering Further Education, Higher Education and apprenticeships, across five inspirational, well-equipped campuses. We have further exciting projects in the pipeline, including our new Hive centre for advanced engineering and the redevelopment of our Newport city campus. The College is forward thinking and dynamic and if you want to make a difference, this is the place to do it.
Due to the retirement of the current postholder, we have a vacancy for an Associate Director (Finance) to join our College and be part of our success story. As Associate Director (Finance), you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the financial operations of the College, contributing to its financial strategy, financial planning and long term success. The College is at a point of reviewing its operations in order to deliver sustainable efficiencies whilst ensuring continued growth and excellence and our new postholder will work with our Leadership team to deliver this.
We are seeking a qualified finance professional with experience of operating at a senior level, including experience of budgetary and financial management within a large, complex organisation. Key to success will be the ability to think strategically, respond to a changing environment, and influence and work effectively with senior management, while leading, developing and motivating a successful team.
The College offers many employment benefits including generous holiday entitlement, pension scheme and many on-site benefits and facilities. Within easy access of the M4 corridor, our campuses are set within reach of some of the most beautiful countryside in South Wales.
Applications may be submitted in Welsh and will not be treated less favourably than applications submitted in English.
