New City College

New City College (NCC) has been formally recognised as a sector leader in designing a curriculum to develop skills for a greener future at the 20th annual Green Gown Awards.

The Next Generation Learning & Skills award acknowledges New City College’s whole-organisational “Green Skills Revolution”, and more specifically, the investment in and management of a curriculum of hands-on training courses in carbon reduction skills, offered in state-of-the art facilities. NCC’s best practice could now be shared globally: it has now been announced that New City College is a finalist for the International Green Gown Awards which will take place next year.

With courses from electric car and charging point maintenance to energy efficiency and retrofit, the college delivers the training at specialist facilities at its Rainham and Hackney campuses. Businesses and individuals across the region are already benefiting from the innovative training which supports industries from food and drink manufacturing to property development
