Gracia Kabongo, Event Manager at AoC Create, announced as Tomorrow’s Talent winner
Gracia Kabongo, Events Manager at AoC Create was named as one of ten winners of the inaugural Tomorrow’s Talent initiative. Launched by The Meetings Show in partnership with M&IT Magazine, the initiative aims to champion young meeting and event planners and provide a platform for nurturing, mentoring and supporting the industry leaders of the future.
Entries were judged by a panel of industry experts including Paul Harvey, editor of M⁢ Patrick Delaney, managing director of SoolNua; Fiona Macdonald, senior manager business events at VisitBritain; Ryan Curtis-Johnson, head of marketing and PR at DRPG; Leigh Cowlishaw, HBAA board member, and The Meetings Show’s commercial director, Ross Barker.
All of the under-30 entrants were assessed for their achievements to date, ability to face challenges, drive and ambition, engagement with the wider industry and the future impact they could make.
The 10 winners of Tomorrow’s Talent are:
Ashley Rowe, IET
Charlie Carvill, Hotel & Travel Solutions
Charlotte Kain, 99 City Road
Dominika Zaton, Abbott
Gracia Kabongo, Association of Colleges
Jade Woodall, BCD
Joonas Ahola, MeetingPackage.com
Max Klein, Diabetes UK
Shannon Barrow, Unicorn Events
Stephanie Utting, emc3
Ross Barker, commercial director of The Meetings Show, said:
“We were delighted with the exceptional quality of entries received for Tomorrow’s Talent in it’s first year of running, and the judges had a really tough time narrowing it down to just 10 winners. We all agree that the young talents who have been chosen have not only already made a huge impact within their companies and the wider industry, but have the potential to do amazing things in the future.”
Gracia is a shining example of the quality and dedication of AoC staff who continually strive to deliver the best support and services for our members.
Rachel Almeida, Head of Events and Sponsorship at AoC Create said:
“I am delighted that Gracia’s work and skills have been acknowledged in this way. She is always keen to take on new challenges, has an incredibly positive attitude in her work which rubs off on the people she meets and works with. Gracia is an integral part of our events team and am sure she will make the most of the opportunities that come from being named as a Tomorrow’s Talent winner.”
Congratulations to Gracia on her achievement.
