AoC Sport is delighted to announce the final selection for the 2021/22 England Colleges hockey squads.
The trials were held at Bloxham School on Friday, 5 November 2021. Both the men’s and women’s trials were well attended with more than 120 players nominated from across the country from over 20 organisations. These then had to be whittled down to a squad of 23 players each.

Congratulations to all those selected and thank you to Stuart Sherrington (Bloxham School) for allowing us to host the trials at their superb venue.
Thanks must go to the England Colleges coaching staff (Terry Lavery, Stefan Sekula, Dave Knowles for the men’s squad and Laura Smith, Malcolm Pressly-Smith and Simon Archer for the women’s squad) and to all players, parents and college staff for attending and/or nominating players.
Women’s Hockey Head Coach, Laura Smith said: “This year we were lucky enough to see the highest playing standard since I took on the role, which of course made it hugely difficult for the coaches/selectors. For those who have been chosen to represent England Colleges this year, you should be immensely proud.
"Malcolm, Simon and I look forward to welcoming you in February at our first meet in Cardiff against Wales. After all the cancellations due to COVID-19, it is exciting to finally be back and have a full set of fixtures! For those who were not selected this year, we welcome you to try again in November 2022 (if you are still eligible)."
The selected squads are now preparing for their first meet up of the season with the first fixture for the men at Lindum HC in Lincolnshire and for the women at Cardiff against Wales U18 both of which are in February.
To see the full fixture list and for more information on the programmes please visit the Women’s Hockey or Men’s Hockey page.
