Current Opportunity: Principal - One Sixth Form College
One Sixth Form College is a thriving, successful post-16 education provider based in Suffolk, graded as Outstanding in its most recent Ofsted inspection. They offer a broad range of academic and vocational programmes, together with excellent enrichment opportunities for theirlearners. Awarded BTEC College of the Year 2018, outcomes for students consistently surpass key national benchmarks.
The college are part of the Suffolk Academies Trust which, with West Suffolk College and Abbeygate Sixth Form College, comprises the Eastern Colleges Group. All three colleges are committed to becoming centres of academic excellence, offering high quality learning and breadth of choice and transforming post-16 Education in Suffolk and the wider Eastern region
Established in 2010, One Sixth Form College has earned a reputation for high levels of student success and progression, fulfilling their vision of becoming an outstanding and dynamic college that works collaboratively to deliver exceptional outcomes and opportunities for everyone.
The current Principal will be retiring after eight years in post, during which the college has rapidly headed towards the achievement of its initial goals. There is now have an excellent platform for further success and innovation, and the new Principal will play a key role in cementing our position at the forefront of the regional education and skills agenda.
Reporting to, and working collaboratively with the Group CEO, the Principal of One Sixth Form College will shape and embed its educational strategy, ensuring that it continues to deliver outstanding outcomes for learners. This role will champion innovative teaching and learning, ensuring it is consistently high quality across all aspects of provision, and lead on quality assurance. It will also lead on delivering a comprehensive and creative curriculum offer which proactively meets the needs of learners, employers and community partners now and in the future. Through visible leadership and motivation of students and staff, the new Principal will ensure a culture of aspiration and high expectation is embedded across the whole college community.
The successful candidate will demonstrate high-level leadership skills, with significant experience of leading curriculum and quality for 16-19 provision. You should have a demonstrable track record of impact on student performance and student experience, with effective use of data which produces excellent outcomes. Strong leadership skills, along with a drive and passion to deliver outstanding results, are also of key importance.
