Building an inclusive curriculum – best practice masterclass series

As part of our commitment to building and embedding an environment of belonging in the further education sector, we’d like to introduce our online best practice masterclass series ‘building an inclusive curriculum’ where teaching colleagues will share their steps to creating an inclusive curriculum. We have planned the following three masterclasses:

  • Black history in the curriculum – Delivered by Ellisha Soanes, Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion Specialist, Aspire Black Suffolk – Wednesday 6 November 2024 at 9:30am – 11am
  • British curriculum for ESoL learners – Delivered by Dominique Rose, Curriculum Leader - Community Regeneration, Bolton College - Thursday 28 November 2024 at 3pm – 4:30pm
  • Anti-racism in English and Maths - Delivered by Piers Alexander, Head of English, West Suffolk Sixth Form and Joanne Hanford, Group Head of Faculty – Maths, West Suffolk College – Friday 13 December at 9:30am – 11am

These interactive masterclasses are 90 minutes and will showcase case studies from other colleges or institutions that have implemented inclusive curriculum practice. They will provide attendees with practical steps on how to develop an action plan for implementing inclusive practice in their own departments and programmes.

Sessions are £55 + VAT per person, per session for member college delegates and £80 + VAT per person per session for non-members. Delegates can choose to attend as many or as few sessions as they wish.
