Dr Emily Tanner, Programme Head - Post-14 Education & Skills, Nuffield Foundation
Dr Emily Tanner is the Programme Head for Post-14 Education and Skills at the Nuffield Foundation where she leads the portfolio of grant-funded research on young people’s pathways from school to work, skills and higher education. Before joining Nuffield two years ago, Emily was Head of Research at The Careers & Enterprise Company, commissioning and carrying out research on career guidance, developing impact measurement tools and evaluating programmes. Emily was at the National Centre for Social Research for 13 years, latterly as Head of the Children, Families and Work Team. She has held research posts at Yale University and the University of Oxford, where she completed a DPhil in Social Policy.
