Spark to strategy: mentoring student ambassadors to take action

Mentoring is a supportive relationship where the mentor can share knowledge, guidance, and encouragement. It was a great experience to mentor three separate college groups of student volunteers, who were passionate about social action and wanted to become Youth Social Action Ambassadors within their colleges.

Kathryn worked alongside Trafford & Stockport, Nelson & Colne, and Bolton College, to encourage and guide their ambassadors to use their voices and actions in a meaningful way to make a positive difference through planning and delivering a social action project within their colleges. The Ambassadors had to create a project plan and deliver a project within agreed timescales.
