The Aerogramme

By Ethan Hickmott, Tresham College

The ominous sky deciding whether to be sad or happy, with wind acting like a supernatural event. I had stumbled upon the house of my childhood memories, I walked up to the house. The house was like an ancient ruin with nature trying to take back the land It had lost a long time ago and all the windows had been shattered into one million little pieces.

I investigated the ancient house of history, looking through a box of forgotten memories, there was one thing that caught my eye, it appeared to be an aerogramme. An dusty old aerogramme with writing that looked like Egyptian writing, my mind told me to read the aerogramme but before I did, I decided to embrace the look of the aerogramme.

I read the aerogramme, on the front it said “for my future grand son”, the writing looked like my grandad’s handwriting, as I read through It, there was a warning about humanity. Its like he knew that something was going to happen in the future, this was like a prediction or rather a prophecy that is yet to happen or fulfilled.

The warning instructed for me to find a way, to get all of humanity to come together as one and that we need to all get along with one another, or else humanity will end up suffering and in despair. Like a dystopia where there is no hope and where you can’t do anything without being controlled like a puppet.

After reading this my mind was all over, the place because I didn’t know how to, convince everyone to come together and get along with each other. To make this work it would be physically impossible since how was I supposed to convince everyone? and how was I supposed to get everyone to get along with each other? These questions flooded my head.

I was then motivated to get my grandad’s message across , the question was how to do so broadcasting, interviewing, or a speech. The planning behind how to do It was like assembling a puzzle, this had me questioning myself for a while until my brain had come up with a genius plan however the question is how to get it to play in motion.

My brain was smiling like It had just figured something out, the plan was travelling all over me like an electrical circuit. At this moment I had thought why not the same way my grandad left his message to me. Now all I had to do was find away to find another aerogramme that was blank so I could inform everyone about the message that was left for me.......
