Intelligence level: 2

After a few years of light speed travel, I have finally found a brand-new planet. Earth.

As our species knows, Level 2 on the galactic level of intelligence represents the fact that a species has barely scratched the surface of space travel. After rigorous research, so far this species, known as humans, have only been to their moon a grand total of six times.

Not only that, but they have also only sent robots named ‘rovers’ to neighbouring planets such as Mars, Mercury, and Venus. Many man-made satellites are orbiting around their solar system.

It gets worse. Humans do not have good relations with each other. They war and fight with ‘countries’ who aren’t their allies; they discriminate against others who are different from themselves. Furthermore, they have no regard for the quality and livelihood of their planet. This is made worse by the fact they are aware of this, labelling it ‘global warming’ but not addressing it.

Don’t let this fool you, however. Humans are strange, foolish, and ignorant but they are growing more and more powerful every day. Their industrial revolution began in the 1800s and they already have access to intelligent computers, AI, and nuclear weapons. If they advance their space travel, they will become more dangerous and reckless than ever.

There is hope for this species though. Humans show a tendency towards violence and destruction, but this isn’t always acted upon. There are 8 billion people on earth. Humans can be loving, kind, caring and supportive towards one another in times of need and crisis. Many do care about each other and the state of the planet.

In conclusion. This planet has potential. Hopefully one day, humans can put aside their differences and work with us to help advance both our species for the better.
