Student Governor Inductions
Student Governor Inductions 2024/25
The Student Governor Inductions are delivered by AoC, commissioned by the Education and Training Foundation on behalf of the Department for Education.
AoC will be delivering four 2-hour online inductions for new student governors in October 2024. The inductions are for new student governors. The inductions aim to help students understand their role and the further education sector.
All inductions are will be delivered online and are free to attend, to sign up please click here and register via the ETF booking site.

“I got a really robust understanding of what my role as a governor is, learning about the codes we need to follow and the principles. I learnt about how to make the most of my meetings and how to ask the right questions, and I love that we had a scenario to practice at the end. I definitely feel more confident in my role as a student governor, and the fact that we are governors, despite being students, and that our voice is as equally as important as everyone else's was a key message I think I needed to hear.”
