Carole Drury

Having worked in the FE sector for many years, as a lecturer, middle and senior manager, governance professional and more recently as a National Leader of Governance, Carole can bring a wealth of experience to reviews into board capability. She is part time Director of Governance at Kendal College in Cumbria, having worked at the college in a variety of senior leadership roles for over 25 years, giving her an excellent understanding of the importance of the learner journey, continuous quality improvement and financial sustainability in successful board operations. More recent work as a National Leader of Governance has enabled her to support a number of colleges in governance improvement and through providing individual guidance for their clerks in managing board relationships, prioritising work and understanding the sector. Carole has lived in the beautiful Lake District for over 30 years and spends any spare time on the golf course or sailing on Windermere.
