Student of the Year finalists announced

The Association of Colleges has announced the finalists for this year’s Student of the Year awards. 16 to 18-years-old Edward Andrews, 18, Truro & Penwith College (BTEC Extended Diploma Health & Social Care) Jack Whitmore, 18, City College Brighton and Hove (Extended Diploma in Sport) Lotte Gleeson, 18, Nelson & Colne College (A Levels) 19-years-old and over Michal Kolanski, 21, Craven College (L3 Extended Diploma Public Services) Louis Rolfe, 19, Cambridge Regional College (L3 Extended Diploma in Sport Studies) Jessica Sibthorpe, 21, Farnborough College of Technology (BSc media production) Apprentice Zac Challinor, 28, Salford City College (Adv App Supporting Teaching and Learning) Cheryl Govey, 47, City College Brighton & Hove (Construction) Bronwyn Tyson, 22, Yeovil College (Adv App Electrical and Electronic Engineering) The winners of the awards will be announced at this year’s Annual Conference and Exhibition on 15 – 17 November. Highly commended Alongside the finalists, each category had three highly commended recipients: 16 to 18-years-old Jodie Beck, 18, Longley Park Sixth Form College (A Levels) Owen Llewellyn, 18, City College Plymouth (Level 3 Diploma in Food & Beverage Service Supervision) Brittany Peacock, 18, Trafford College (BTEC Enterprise) 19-years-old and over Joshua Bopu, 20, Barking and Dagenham College (BTEC Extended Diploma in Sport) Sarah Fenwick, 34, New College Swindon (HND health and social care) Zarah Osarobo, 25, Hackney Community College (Functional Skills English & maths) Apprentice Sarah Brazier, 25, City of Wolverhampton College (Adv App Engineering) Gagandeep Kaur, 20, West Thames College (L2 Apprentice Early Years & Childcare) Vikesh Patel, 20, Abingdon & Witney College (Adv App Electical and Electronic Engineering)
