Proposals for a new insolvency regime
14 December 2017
In response to the Government's proposals for a new insolvency regime, David Hughes, Chief Executive of the Association of Colleges (AoC), said:
“We are pleased that the Government’s response to the consultation on the introduction of an insolvency regime recognises the importance of protecting the interests of students first and foremost.
“Now that the re-structuring facility guidance has been published we hope that the Transaction Unit responds quickly to applications for funding in order that the Specialist Administration Regime is the last resort the Government intends it to be.
“The Association of Colleges (AoC) will work with officials to understand the ‘robust financial monitoring and intervention regime which will be part of the new landscape for the sector post review.’“
