Institute for Apprenticeships operational plan
14 December 2017
The draft operational plan for the Institute for Apprenticeships has been published. In response, David Hughes, Chief Executive of the Association of Colleges (AoC), said: “The draft operational plan for the Institute for Apprenticeships (IfA) demonstrates an understanding of the key issues faced by an organisation that has a critical role to play in developing a successful technical education and training system.
“The Sainsbury Review and Post-16 Skills Plan highlight the importance of engaging both employers and educators in establishing new technical and professional education and training pathways. Colleges are at the forefront of delivering this vision and have great experience and insight into what is best for students as well as how to develop skills, set the curriculum and ensure successful assessment.
“We will be responding to the consultation on behalf of our college members and will continue to support the IfA as it establishes itself.”
