The Festival of Learning is a two-month long festival of events and activities taking place throughout May and June 2015.Organisations across the country hold thousands of events demonstrating the learning opportunities that they provide and inspiring adults to discover how learning can transform lives. Why don’t you join them?
You can use the Festival of Learning and Adult Learners’ Week key messages, branding and collateral, media coverage and social media narrative as hooks for your own recruitment drives and to generate your own local press coverage.
Your college can join the Festival of Learning for free, by simply uploading the details of the open days, have a go sessions and other events you have already planned. NIACE is providing a mechanism for you to easily add your college’s events to the other learning activities being run by a host of organisations across the country this May and June. By registering your event(s) on the Events Listing mechanism, you can increase the number of participants who will hear about your planned activities, and guarantee their success.
You will also be able to download the toolkit that explains in simple terms how to get the most from your planned events by providing you with a step-by-step guide to maximising the impact of your activities.
The Festival also brings together a range of national activities including Museums at Night, Learning at Work Week Volunteers Week City Lit’s Annual Learners’ Celebration and VQ Day. Holding a Festival of Learning event, open day or taster session in your college, is a great way to have fun and to be creative, whilst spreading the message that learning is good for health, self-esteem and employability. Your events may also attract new audiences and inspire them to discover how learning can transform their life.It's never too early to plan your event.
