Future Apprenticeship Support Programme

With government’s target to deliver 3 million apprentices by 2020, the Future Apprenticeships Support Programme are here to help managers, teachers, trainers, leaders and those involved in governance to make the transition from Apprenticeship frameworks to delivery of the new trailblazer standards. As part of the Future Apprenticeship programme, commissioned by the Education and Training Foundation (ETF), AELP is offering a package of support for smaller training providers designed to help them prepare to deliver the new Apprenticeship Standards. This is an eight week process, including a 1-day workshop, supported action planning and a 1-hour practice sharing web seminar. The dates and locations of the workshops are as follows; London - Thursday, 7 January 2016 Manchester - Tuesday, 12 January 2016 Birmingham - Wednesday, 13 January 2016 Bristol - Thursday, 14 January 2016 Newcastle - Tuesday, 19 January 2016 Leeds - Tuesday, 26 January 2016 Cambridge - Wednesday, 27 January 2016 Reading - Thursday, 28 January 2016 Benefits Access the latest briefings and information about the reforms, new Standards and assessment plans, and Future Apprenticeship resources Receive a briefing pack for cascading to colleagues in your organisation Think through the implications for your organisation and begin to plan for the transition from a curriculum based on existing Apprenticeship Frameworks to one based on new Standards Share practice with other providers Who should attendIndividuals who are responsible for Apprenticeship curriculum development e.g. Directors, Heads of Apprenticeship/Work-based learning. To benefit from the support an understanding of the organisation’s strategic plans for Apprenticeships is required(so the package may not be appropriate for trainers and assessors) Providers should be delivering apprenticeship frameworks and be on the Skills Funding Agency Register of Training Organisations as lead or sub-contractor organisations Delegate Fees £50.00 for all providers For the Future Apprenticeship Programme, ETF has introduced a new charging policy which means that there is a £50 charge per delegate (payable through ETF’s booking system). Booking ProcessIn the past the demand for this type of support has been extremely high so in the first instance providers must register their interest through the ETF online form by Monday, 14 December 2015. Delegates who have been successful at securing a place will be notified within 2 weeks.
