Commissioned by the Education and Training Foundation (ETF) as part of the second phase of the Future Apprenticeships programme, Future Apprenticeships are offering a package of support designed to develop the skills of those responsible for building new and developing existing relationships with employers to maximise the opportunities for apprenticeship growth. This intensive package of support consists of 2 x 1 day workshops, 1 hour webinar and 5 online resources. The package will support delegates to increase apprenticeship uptake by exploring new and different ways of engaging new employers with apprenticeships whilst ensuring that the business development teams are appropriately skilled to maximise their impact.

Effective Commercial Account Management
Sales, marketing and consultative selling skills
Differentiating your sales pitch and offer
Staffing, change and change management
Maximising your partner networks and collaboration opportunities
The practice sharing seminar will take place between the two workshops which are 6 - 8 weeks apart.
The support package will:
develop delegate expertise in identifying and maximising opportunities to grow apprenticeships
further develop employer engagement and consultative sales skills
provide access to high quality resources ensuring delegates can further their learning
use a train the trainer approach to enable easy dissemination
Who is this support package for?
You should be:
delivering apprenticeship frameworks or standards
on the Skills Funding Agency Register of Training Organisations as lead or sub-contractor organisation
responsible for apprenticeship business development at a strategic level
accountable for engaging with employers, partners, stakeholders and other agencies
The support package may not be appropriate if you are a trainer or assessor as it will require an understanding of your organisation’s strategic plans for apprenticeships.
This support builds on the employer engagement workshops offered in the first phase of the programme exploring issues in much greater depth, so previous attendees are encouraged to register.
Learning outcomes
By the end of the support package you will be able to:
Identify new business opportunities and translate these into organisational growth and development
Understand the potential for collaboration and how to maximise such opportunities
Engage employers successfully and confidently ensuring that high standards of service are evidenced throughout the employer engagement journey
Identify current levels of staff skills in relation to employer engagement and business development and be able to build confidence, skills and expertise within your teams
Understand consultative sales techniques and apply these throughout the sales and negotiation process
Confidently cascade the skills and knowledge required for successful employer engagement and business development to your teams

Delegate Fees:£350.00 per delegate (discounts apply). The fee covers both workshops, the mid-point development seminar and access to all of the on-line resources.
