Autism Education Trust launches Post 16 Programme

FREE Post 16 Autism Conference - 22 October in London
Following the successful schools training programme which has trained over 33,000 school staff since 2012, the Autism Education Trust is launching a Post 16 programme supported by the Department for Education which will provide three tiers of training for staff across the full range of settings. The Post 16 launch will be in London on Wednesday 22 October.
The event is free.
It will:
Give delegates a full Tier 1 training course plus a 'taster' of Tier 2 and Tier 3 courses of the AET training programme
Walk through new FREE Autism Standards for Post 16 institutions which enable provision to carry out self-evaluation and set their own priorities for improvement
Explore the new FREE Post 16 Autism Competency Framework which allows staff to set training priorities.
Input from Ofsted will set the training in the context of the new SEND legislation
Opportunities to hear from learners themselves and their families
