AoC/ALT position paper: Summary discussion of the use of learning technologies in further education
11 March 2016
AoC, in collaboration the Association for Learning Technology (ALT), has produced a position paper on the use of learning technologies in further education. The paper, while incorporating an analysis of current research, is not intended to be read as a comprehensive research piece but as a summary and discussion of the various ways in which technology is being used by colleges for learning and teaching. The various sections discuss the contexts within which learning technologies are deployed, building on the work of the previous ALT publication: Technology in Learning (ALT, 2010). The aim of the paper is to stimulate debate and to inform the ways in which AoC works on behalf of colleges to influence policy and practise with regard to the use of learning technologies.
We hope you enjoy the paper and find it useful in thinking about how your college might make best use of technology. If you have any questions or comments about the paper, please do contact the AoC Technology team.
