AoC Sport – the new representative organisation for college sport
19 June 2019
One voice for college sport
From 1 August 2014, British Colleges Sport (BCS) and the AoC Sport Policy Team will come together to form AoC Sport, a single representative organisation for college sport and physical activity.
AoC Sport will bring together all aspects of college sport currently delivered by BCS and the AoC Sport Policy Team, covering competitions, curriculum, sport development, strategy and funding, with the aim of growing participation in both competitive and recreational activity.
AoC Sport membership
Colleges that have already submitted their BCS intent to enter form for 2014-15 will automatically become a member of AoC Sport from 1 August. You will still receive all the services outlined in your intent to form, including league and cup entries – your membership invoice, however, will be payable to AoC Sport rather than BCS.
If your college has not submitted an intent to enter form but would like to take advantage of AoC Sport’s wide-range of membership benefits, please contact Stephen Hunt. A full list of membership benefits can be downloaded below.
Supporting your college in more ways than before
AoC Sport will build on the fantastic growth that has taken place in FE and sixth form college sport and physical activity over the past few years. Through the provision of curriculum advice, partnerships, events, networks, advocacy and regional and national competitions, we will help your college maximise the impact of sport on learning, personal development and employability.
