16 to 18 GCSE English and maths pass rates

Ofqual have provided AoC with the following provisional data on GCSE in English and maths for 16 to 18-year-old students. Note this data is England only (9-1), all providers, including colleges. The college only rates will be different. We aim to publish these following the R13 return. 16-18 English GCSE 9-4: 29.7%16-18 Maths GCSE 9-4: 18.2% These figures are an aggregation of GCSE outcomes for students that took the qualifications in years 12, 13 and 14. Ofqual have also published post-16 outcomes broken down further by age group for 17-year-olds, 18-year-olds and students aged 19+, which schools and colleges may find helpful when contextualising their results. Ofqual have today also published their Guide to the GCSE results and a series of interactive analytic tools that will help members to further contextualise their outcomes.
