Stuart Deeley

Stuart Deeley began his culinary journey at Halesowen College, where he was part of the original cohort that trialled the City and Guilds Professional Cookery Diploma in 2008.

In his final year, he impressed a guest judge during the annual ‘Star Chef’ competition, which led to his first job at Jamie’s Italian in Birmingham and the start of a highly successful career. In 2019, he won Masterchef: The Professionals. Stuart’s dedication to his craft and his commitment to mentoring the next generation of chefs and giving so freely back to the college make him both an inspiration and role model.

Stuart has supported Halesowen College for over a decade. He established the Stuart Deeley Professional Chef Academy to bridge the skills gap due to Covid-19 and to introduce more practical sessions and workshops into courses. He is a true advoke of Further Education and recognises the lasting impact further education can have.
