Josh Babarinde OBE MP is a proud alumnus of East Sussex College and has recently been elected as the Liberal Democrat MP for Eastbourne.

His journey from the college to parliament is marked by a deep commitment to social entrepreneurship and community service. As the founder of Cracked It, an award-winning social enterprise, Josh helps young offenders turn their lives around by teaching them smartphone repair skills. His work earned him national recognition, including an OBE for services to criminal justice.

Josh’s passion for creating positive change extends beyond his business ventures. He has been actively involved in his local community, serving on the board of East Sussex College and using his platform to advocate for education, social justice, and economic opportunities. His leadership and dedication have had a lasting impact on Eastbourne and beyond.

Now as an MP, he continues to champion his hometown, focusing on causes that matter most to his constituents and using his skills to bridge divides in society. Josh was also recently appointed as the justice spokesperson for the Liberal Democrats, further expanding his role in shaping national policy.
