Become an Associate

Associate subscription is a category of membership, which allows AoC to provide support services to those educational providers who were not incorporated under the 1992 FE and HE Act or the 1988 Education Act.

Associate Membership, split into two categories:

  1. Associate Membership Academies: Open to Sixth Form Colleges that previously qualified as full members but have since academised.
  2. General Associate Membership: Open to other educational institutions that are not eligible for full membership such as HEIs, specialist colleges, ITPs (on a case-by-case basis) and colleges under the devolved nations who choose not to be full members. Eligible organisations must be in receipt of DfE/ESFA funding (or equivalent for devolved regions/nations) and subject to Ofsted inspections.

Associate subscription entitles your organisation to:

  1. Access to a wide range of Briefings, the AoC website and all uploaded resources, including templates, guidance documents, webinars and resource packs on a wide range of topics.
  2. Access to policy update emails sent through by AoC offices, offering guidance on the latest policy developments in the sector
  3. Discounted rates at AoC conferences and webinars.
  4. Associate Membership Academies also benefit from regional support.

How do I apply?

Please fill out this form and send to the membership office. Once this is returned, we will assess suitability of membership and determine any conflicts of interest which may arise. The outcome of this assessment will be communicated as soon the application has been reviewed. The decision of AoC is final.
